It’s been a month since we arrived in North Carolina!

Wow, in some ways it has gone by fast…but slow.

I’ve thought a lot the past few days just about HOW we got here.

What had to happen for it to be possible to get in the car and drive off to the East.

Here’s some pictures and some of my thoughts:

This is me being real! (Notice the rocks next to the water bottle, no those didn’t get packed, but don’t worry we already have a new rock collection started here!)

Our kids bedroom looked like this about 5 days before we had to be out of our house in San Diego, Ca.

Many of you saw this in person, and loved us anyways!

I sent this to some of you and just begged you to pray because there was NO WAY we could finish in time!

I was overwhelmed and crying when I took this.

As the week went by YOU prayed for us.

YOU brought us meals so we didn’t have to cook on top of all this.

Our kids were loved on and cared for by YOU.

We were lifted up in prayer by YOU.

Because this is what our house looked like for reals yo:

This was our bedroom the morning we were supposed to be cleaned up and out:

We went from that to this because of YOU:

It really was a miracle.

I even told people that if we got to this point it would be a miracle!

Some of you even came over and saw a few day’s before and didn’t think we would make it. (Trust me I didn’t think we would either)

I had prayed about a week earlier and told God that I just couldn’t face the next two weeks.

That I knew He was with us, but He wasn’t going to come and physically pack up my house for me.

(Yes those were my words)

You know what, we experienced the hands and feet of God packing up our home through you.

We experienced details taken care of though your willing hands that made a meal, your willing mouth that prayed for us and encouraged us, and though your feet as many of you came and carried boxes out and made things disappear for us!

Thank you so much you made this possible in so many ways.

The kids were SO happy and thankful to see their own toys!  Thanks for helping us pack up and move. For making it possible to be here and get training.

We are being stretched, we are humbled by your willingness to be on our team.

It’s been a month of ups and downs for sure!

No matter what is coming we have been reminded of this verse over the past few months and it’s still comforting here on this side:

“The Lord Himself goes before you, and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Deuteronomy 31:8

When I’m afraid (He is with me, He is gone before me, He has a plan)

When I am discouraged (He is with me, He will not leave me)

When I am anxious about the future (He has gone before me)!

I am so thankful for all the hard things we went through to get here.

I am thankful for all that has happened while we’ve been here.

I know that this month wouldn’t have been possible without all of you as well.

I am so thankful for all of you!

One month down…about 5 more to go!!
