We have had many “last days” recently.
Daniel had his last day of work.
We had our last day with our church family (well for a long time).
Last day in the home that we grew up together, brought all our babies home to, had laughs and tears and many good years.
Last good Mexican food (well not homemade) for a lonnnnnnnng time!
But last day’s usually mean that first days are just around the corner:
First time in New Mexico, Texas (well on the ground we flew through), Oklahoma, Arkansa, Mississippi and Tennessee!
First time in our new home (well for the next 5 months).
First time for the kids to be in South and North Carolina.
New classes for Daniel, new homework too!
I’m sure there are many more firsts to come, and some more lasts as well.
Isn’t that how life is though, new turns to old.
Unfamiliar changes into the familiar.
Like turns to love.
There is a time for everything, but the ONE thing we can count on is God!
He is never-changing!
We can trust His promises.
For that, I’m truly thankful. It brings my heart comfort as we explore new beginnings.
Some are good, some are hard, but through it all His love never fails!
P.S. Here is biker gnome’s new place in our home you can follow him on FB by #acevesadventuresgnomeeddition and I will link my Instagram account so you can follow him there too! He will go back across the USA with us in the late summer, and then all the way to PNG in Jan 2017!
