There are “those days” we all have them.

Days that are hard.

We feel like we are drowning.

One step for 1,000 steps back.

Our family is falling apart, our health, a loved one’s health.

Darkness seems to close in, and the valley is so deep we can no longer even glimpse the light above.

It’s on those days we have to stop and think, yes I said think!

Think (remember) the time times God has come through for you, your family or a loved one.

We have to think on His words..the things we KNOW to be true about Him,

“I will never leave you nor forsake you…”

“Cast your cares on the Lord He will sustain you…”

Think about how IN THE BEGINNING He spoke…and the world was created!

Therefore all the dust, molecules, every element on the periodic table, the trees, animals, fish and all of creation were spoken into existence by Him!

That the same God hung the stars and created our solar system (and all of them)!

If He can speak those things into being,

surely He can speak into my life.

THINK:

The God who parted the Red Sea so that His people could walk across the dry land,

Who tumbled the walls of Jerhico,

Who used people like Joseph, David, Moses, Rahab, Jonah, you and me…

That is the God we serve.

Finally think about our HOPE:

Our hope which is in the cross, the death of the lamb of God, Jesus.

He bled and died…not to leave us here in the valley but to WALK us though.

To carry us when necessary.

Our hope is in our future in heaven.

So on those days…think of who He is.

Remember what He has done.

That He is WORTHY.

That He is faithful.

His intentions for us are good and perfect no matter what we are going through.

He is our hope.

His track record is perfect, yes I said PEFECT!

He knows us, hears us, loves us and will do what is best for us.

Even when it’s hard.

It’s okay to think through tears,

It’s okay to remember and sob,

It’s okay to pray in pain and to still feel sad.

But God is good, His way is perfect and His way’s are not my way…and His way is always better anyways.

It just doesn’t always feel like that.

“Lord I don’t want the life I imagine for myself or my family. I’ve proven my thoughts are so small. I want what YOU imagine for me, for us!”

“Broken things are made beautiful when God does the mending.”

So cry out.

Think through your tears.

Remember, even if you don’t feel like it.

Have hope in Him.

“Cast your care on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken” Psalm 55:22

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and WAIT for the Lord.” Psalm 27:24

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6&7

“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.  The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.”  Psalm 145:13
